Greetings to all,
I’ve attended several meetings with business men and women, during which we were talking about the AI revolution. I keep hearing, “If you don’t get on-board, you will be left behind.”
After one such meeting, it dawned on me that this, “If you don’t get on-board, you will be left behind” theme has been used in many other instances.
Here are very simplified examples.
Pasteur and the birth of Big Pharma
Most people have heard about Louis Pasteur (1822-1895), a French chemist. “Thanks” to Pasteur, we pasteurize milk and kill germs using antibiotics.
Few people have heard about Antoine Béchamp (1816-1908), also a French chemist, a rival of Pasteur.
Pasteur was a great orator (some say he was the greatest orator of non-sense who could make people believe what he said). Béchamp was not. He was quiet. According to him, germs would not prevail if the “terrain,” meaning our bodies, were kept at an optimal level of health. On his deathbed, Pasteur admitted, “Béchamp was right.”
Unilaterally, Pasteur’s germ theory took off. What was to become Big Pharma was born.
During the 1990s, when I was homeschooling my children, it was difficult if not impossible to find a book about Béchamp in a library. Pasteur’s books on the other hand were readily available.
Initially, antibiotics were life-savers. Soldiers wounded in wars definitely were helped by antibiotics. Today, antibiotics are prescribed for anything and everything, often as “broad spectrum antibiotics.”
It is possible to check which bacteria is causing the infection and prescribe a specific antibiotic against that specific bacteria. It takes a bit more time, thus a “broad spectrum” is prescribed. It kills every bacteria on its passage, including the good ones, thus causing much damage, especially to our gut lining.
Nowadays, some 45% of the US population complains about digestive problems and food intolerance. Leaky gut is a major cause of food intolerance/sensitivity, and antibiotics are one of the primary cause of leaky gut (which is believed to then lead to chronic dis-eases, aches, pains, and even dementia).
The pasteurization of milk is now also being questioned. Raw milk seems to offer many advantages, yet is being legally restricted in many states. I wonder why…
What does that have to do with AI?
It does not seem that we, as humans, are a very discerning species. We get super enthusiastic about new discoveries, jump on the bandwagon… and later face an “Oops, we did not think about potential consequences or development down the line.”
Are people who follow Béchamp, keeping their terrain healthy by using nature, nutrition, herbs and homeopathy truly “left behind?”
Should we abandon antibiotics and/or AI? NO!
We need DISCERNMENT about how these inventions are being used.
Let’s take another example: Television
When I was working on my ND-Doctor of Naturopathy degree, I had to study a book by Jerry Mander, Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television. Great arguments! It did not concern me much as I had already eliminated television from my life.
I was raised in Switzerland, where advertisements on television were limited. We would see a few advertisements before and after a movie, never in the middle. We could watch a whole televised sport event without interruption.
It was quite different when I arrived in the US in 1979. Movies were constantly interrupted… even a downhill ski event could not be enjoyed without advertisements. That bothered me, so I simply stopped watching TV.
Things have changed in Switzerland now: there are advertisements during movies and sport. However, alcohol and pharmaceuticals are not promoted (yet).
Was I “left behind” because I eliminated television from my life? I don’t think so. With my children, we watched videos as a family, on one screen in the living room.
Television is considered a fun “activity,” even though people are not very active watching the tube. Their minds have been captured by “the powers-that-be.” It’s hypnotic and only what they want you to be brain-washed with (drugs and alcohol) is available.
It has also separated families. No longer do we have one television in the living room to enjoy a show together; every person in the family has their own TV set (and/or internet) in their room, watching different programs or playing online games. Sad!
There are pros and cons: use discernment!
Another example: Smart Phones
Again, the same refrain: you will be left behind if you don’t jump on the bandwagon.
Observe people in the streets, in restaurants, as families, even in a car or jogging: everyone is staring at their phone, head tilted forward. It weakens our backs, so it may be great for chiropractors.
We have become prisoners of this gadget. Society and families are disintegrating. Is that true progress?
So, when people tell me, “you will be left behind if you don’t jump on the AI bandwagon,” I have questions and ponder.
Of course, AI is useful, as are antibiotics, staying informed, smart phones, etc.
As long as we use CAUTION and DISCERNMENT.
I’ve been following Del Bigtree and The Highwire for many years, maybe even since he started his program. I have yet to see an episode where what he said was false. He - with his team - thoroughly research every subject they present weekly. Because he presents truths that make some people uncomfortable, he has been de-platformed (as have I) from major social networks and is being vilified on Wikileaks.
His show is available live every Thursday, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm PDT.
Here is the link. Past episodes are available, INCLUDING links to the research.
Again, use discernment! Check it out. Do your own research!
You will be informed with what may only become public years later… and the truth will set you free!
This past Thursday, Del had a long interview with Jim Lee about the infamous “climate change.” I learned quite a few things. Here is Jim Lee’s website. Check it out.
