Homeschooling-Unschooling - How People Have Grown to a 6-Figure Income with an Automated System
Greetings to all,
Let’s continue with our exploration of PNEI.
I learned a few things about IBS—Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome today, from reading When the Body Says No by Gabor Maté.
I've faced digestive problems since birth. At the time, food sensitivities weren't well understood, and I happened to be sensitive to cow's milk. Since my mother couldn’t breastfeed, she eventually settled on goat's milk for me.
When I was 2 ½ years old, I ate some cigarettes that were left on a table. By whom? I’m not sure—my parents didn’t smoke. This led to an inflamed gut, and I ended up in the hospital. Back then, it was believed to be safer to remove the appendix in such cases, so I lost mine.
Looking back, I realize that this surgery likely traumatized me. I was left alone in the hospital for 10 days, as parents were encouraged NOT to visit. I vaguely remember my parents coming on the 9th day, seeing me through a window, and finally picking me up on the 10th day. I must have felt so abandoned.
I’m grateful that things have changed. Nowadays, many hospitals provide rooms for parents to stay near their children, or have nearby family accommodations like motel-style buildings.
Throughout my childhood and teenage years, I suffered from frequent tummy aches. Doctors performed various tests but couldn’t identify the cause. Again, food sensitivities were still largely unknown. Later, I discovered I had several food intolerances, such as wheat (a staple in our diet with all the bread and pasta) and dairy (a mainstay in Switzerland, famous for its dairy products).
I also had numerous rounds of antibiotics, which wreaked havoc on my gut microbiome—something we didn’t know much about back then.
For many years, IBS and spastic colon were dismissed as "all in the head" or seen as a plea for attention, sometimes even being mistaken for drug-seeking behavior.
Have you heard of the term "gut feeling"? It turns out we have around one hundred million nerve cells in our gut. Our gut reacts to emotional stimuli through muscle contractions, changes in blood flow, and the secretion of numerous biologically active substances.
Research has revealed that different people have varying "pain thermostats" in their gut. After enduring too many gut-wrenching experiences, the neurons in our digestive system become hypersensitive. Even a normal amount of gas in the intestines can trigger a pain signal in an over-sensitized system.
So, what causes this over-sensitization? Trauma, child abuse, sexual abuse, and chronic stress are common triggers. Once these root issues are resolved, the hypersensitivity often fades away—especially if other factors, like food sensitivities, are also addressed.

Are You Ready for the Next Pandemic?
Don’t take my word for it… Use your critical faculty, your thinking skills.
A few weeks ago, Monkey Pox was said to only strike gay people. Today, I read that it spread to prostitutes of both sexes… and ONLY in Africa.
However, the WHO is making noise about vaccinating the whole world. I would dare guess that Big Pharma needs money.
Below is an excerpt from Jeff Childers Coffee and Covid Substack:
“Yesterday, the New York Times ran an awful story headlined, “W.H.O. Declares Global Emergency Over New Mpox Outbreak.” Here we go again!
Yesterday, the World Health Organization escalated Monkeypox to its highest level of emergency and called for an international response:
They are trying so hard. We’ve started the variant game, with the Times claiming that a new African variant —not yet given a scary nickname— doesn’t just infect gay people and is three percent fatal. …
This time, scientists think the disease is spreading through heterosexual prostitutes. I know what you’re thinking, but it would be too much to ask people to temporarily refrain from their sexual adventurism. So don’t even go there. How do you expect quarantined hookers to make a living? …
The story reported no cases have been found outside Africa. It’s not airborne, so masks won’t help. You have to get busy with somebody to get infected.”
Will you fall into the fear-mongering?

Government School, Homeschooling and Unschooling
Here is a bit of history - click on the picture
We had two foster children who attended a private school. One day, their teacher mentioned that she planned to homeschool her own children when she had them. At the time, I was pregnant with my first child and had never heard of the concept of homeschooling. Her words sparked my curiosity.
My first book on the subject was Home Grown Kids by Raymond and Dorothy Moore, which was soon followed by other books they had written. Over time, I built quite a library of homeschooling books.
When my daughter was about four years old, she was coloring in a book that taught basic health concepts. One day, while she was learning about the importance of spending time outside, she colored an image of a little girl swinging under some trees. I had an epiphany: "How silly," I thought, "Why not just go to a park and actually swing?" So, we did.
My homeschooling journey went through several phases. Initially, I followed a traditional public school curriculum at home. But it didn't take long for me to realize that this approach wasn't serving my children in the best way.

Next, we moved to Unit Studies. We dived deep into topics like the Romans, the Greeks, the Vikings, and Ancient Egypt. Every aspect of our learning was integrated into the unit being studied.
After that, we explored Delight-Directed Studies, an approach focused on my children's individual interests. We oriented subjects like math, English, and social studies around what fascinated them most.
Finally, Unschooling took hold. This method gave us even more freedom to explore and learn in a way that felt natural.
Now, my seven children are grown. They are smart, creative, critical thinkers who pursue their passions with enthusiasm.
When I started homeschooling my children, there were about 200,000 homeschoolers in the United States. Today, that number has grown to over 5 million.
