Greetings to all, and to mothers especially on this special Sunday.
I’ve been reminiscing on the good times I’ve had with my mother, gone for a little over 3 months now. It was my first Mother’s Day where I could not hear her physical voice, although she lives in my heart forever. Mom, I miss you.
I just read an article by Heidi Ganahl, whom I met several years ago. My message was going to be along the same lines: we cannot stand on the sidelines any longer, and mothers are powerful.
Here is an excerpt of her article:
“It’s time to take back the responsibility for keeping our kids safe and making our state great for them again. The government isn’t doing it. The politicians aren’t doing it. The schools aren’t doing it. Society isn’t doing it.
But Moms? We do it every day.
Today let’s celebrate more enthusiastically than ever before the moms in our lives who have stared down a society and culture that is doing all it can to tear families apart, and shepherd us through with flying colors every day. Cheers, Mommas!”
Read the whole article here; Heidi celebrates mom’s uniqueness.
What happens when you refuse to face facts? You suffer more!
I was telling somebody that I came back from Missouri with a cold, and she immediately said, “Cancel, cancel.” The New Age positivity movement is still alive and well, yet I realized that it’s what I had done with this “cold.”
Humidity is NOT my friend. I was diagnosed with an allergy to humidity when I was in Switzerland, and I still have a problem with it. Two weeks in Missouri reminded me of that. As soon as I arrived, the annoying post nasal drip started.
Like a good Swiss gal, I also tend to react to icy cold drinks. I had forgotten and on my way back, drank an icy cold tea… and the pain started in my throat, not too bad at first.
The next morning, I woke up unable to speak or swallow. The pain was intense… yet I thought it was “just an allergy” and it would calm down. After all, I am a naturopath, I keep myself healthy, thus I don’t get sick.
The following morning, same thing. Cognitive dissonance (2 sets of ideas in conflict) set in: an allergy does not last that long. Did it turn into something else?
What’s my problem? Am I sick? Do I have a sore throat/virus? No, it can’t be… Maybe… Yes, I think I do! I had to acknowledge the fact that I had a sore throat/virus (duh!) before I could/would do something about it. And I know how to deal with that. Within 2 hours, the pain was gone.
Why did I wait that long? Because I did not want to label myself “sick.” Ah, vanity!
My body reacts well and quickly to homeopathic remedies. In that case, I used Aconite and Belladonna, 30x. If you have questions, contact me.
I believe I heard this from Tony Robbins. Spend 20% of your time on defining a problem, and 80% of your time on solving it. It does NOT say, “Ignore the problem.”
State a fact, a real one, then work on solving it.
Is it what we have done with politics? Ignore the problems until they are so painful that the only thing we can now do is step in, resist, and restore sanity, praying it’s not too late.
You probably heard about Napoleon Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich. My understanding is that it’s a watered down version of his original work, so we, the people, do not become too powerful.
He wrote another book, published 70 years after his passing, as it was too controversial. I much prefer it: Outwitting the Devil. It should be a “must read” for all. Check it out.
I took pictures of The Sphere when I was in Las Vegas last year, strung them together and added some soothing music with embedded healing frequencies. It’s on my Youtube Channel. Did you see it?
Until next time,
LIVE with PASSION, PURPOSE and DELIGHT!
